The Opportunity

We're partnering with a leading UK & Ireland EV charging infrastructure and grid connections contractor to appoint an Electrical Supervisor based in Croydon. This is a hands-on supervisory role with real ownership — overseeing installation, inspection and testing across UK projects, leading a team of Electrical Installers, driving BS7671 compliance, and making sure work lands on time, on budget and to a standard the client is happy to put their name to. EV experience is a bonus, not a barrier — strong commercial or industrial installation supervisors are very much encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers to plan and deploy resource for electrical installation works.
  • Manage the daily planners for the Electrical Installer team.
  • Produce take-off sheets from designs and procure all relevant electrical installation materials.
  • Ensure every installation is compliant with BS7671, using company systems and processes to manage quality.
  • Compile, review and challenge site-specific RAMS and Programmes of Work.
  • Carry out Health & Safety audits and toolbox talks with installers on site.
  • Prepare, review and sign off electrical installation certificates in line with NICEIC or equivalent standards.
  • Assist Project Managers in compiling handover documentation for each project.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical supervision and leading a team.
  • Experience on commercial or industrial electrical installations.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification.
  • City & Guilds BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection and Testing.
  • JIB / CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal ability.

Desirable

  • SSSTS.
  • AP Low Voltage.
  • Experience with EV charging systems (advantageous, not essential).

The Package

  • Company van and fuel card.
  • 30 days annual leave inclusive of company shutdown days.
  • Travel and subsistence covered.
  • Discretionary company performance bonus.
  • Bupa healthcare after 6 months' service.
  • Salary sacrifice pension, 8% total contribution.
  • EV car salary sacrifice scheme.
  • Holiday purchase scheme — buy up to 5 additional days.
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies.
  • Benefits and discounts platform.
  • Long service awards.
